Sportscape's sister company, On Your Marks, has been spreading some Christmas Cheer this afternoon, as four lucky primary schools recieved a visit from project manager June Morris, and Father Christmas as we donated nearly 70 Christmas Presents thanks to the donations and the support of the Community Voluntary Services in Cheshire East.
The CVS Christmas Toy appeal is now in its 7th Year and the appeal is run in aid of Cheshire East children and families that face difficult circumstances this winter and would otherwise may not be able to provide the magical and joyful experience all children should have on Christmas morning in finding presents under the tree.
The On Your Marks project has previously worked alongside Underwood West, Leighton Academy, Wistaston Academy and Mablins Lane, and each of the four schools fit into the specific criteria and geographical locations that the CVS directly look to support.
On Your Marks Director, Andy Aspinall made the following statement after the excitement of today;
"It is fantastic to be able to support the local schools, the children and the families, Sportscape and On Your Marks support so many schools and children each year, and it would have been lovely to be able to help them all, but we obviously have guidelines to follow on the donations we can make, and rightly so. We are also so greatful to everyone at the CVS, its a wonderful thing they do every year, they manage to bring so much joy to families, they are absolutely incredible; and obviously a huge thanks to Santa, we appreciate its a busy time of year for him, so for him to give up his time is brilliant."
Project Manager June Morris commented that; "We (On Your Marks) have been supported by the CVS for ta number of years, and its so nice to be able to do something that helps. We have some donations left that will be used to support the children that may benefit from them, from those that attend our Enrichment Club Parties. Our Enrichment Club activities are funded activities that support children from a similar demographic, so the two go hand in hand.
